Eopsaltria australis
This immature Eastern Yellow Robin is in the change over period from the streaked rich brown of the juvenile to the beautiful yellow and grey of the adult bird.
This photo was taken in the Robertson Nature Reserve which is a remnant of the once extensive temperate rainforest which covered the area.
It is well worth a visit, though it's a good idea to obey the signs and stay on the pathways. There are guard dogs in the form of a multitude of hungry, blood-sucking leeches if you stray.
